Back
in the old days, when Texas was a lonely republic, a strong
frontier patrolling was needed. The land that also was called
the Lone star state, had many assailants, so in 1823 Stephen
F. Austin formed a organization that would be patrolling the
frontier and scare away intruders. The men who toke the responsibility
for this task got the name TEXAS RANGERS and they worked in
small commando squads.
After
Texas became a member of the United States, the Texas Rangers
got new missions. Now they had to see to that law and order
were followed. As time went on, the Rangers became known as
a kind of a elite sheriff's. They caught innumerable of criminals
which made them as faired in criminal circles as they were respected
by the rest of the citizens.
